..On this page we present some MOVIO - audio. The band has been recording gigs and rehearsals since early 70´s. In the beginning Jonas Himmelstrand used a Revox reel-to-reel recorder. It was almost professional! Later came the cassette-period when Kristjan used his grand-mothers recorder. As she was nearly blind she had been given the recorder by an organisation caring for blind people...so she could enjoy books on tape, &c. It was meant for other use. The quality could make anybody weep.
..These days Kristjan, Jonas H and Bengt record the sounds of MOVIO. Kristjan uses a M-audio digital field-recorder, Jonas an I-pod and Bengt a digital mini-disc-recorder. So we now have an incredible amount of nice music that we can enjoy on CDs. Caveat: track-lengths are a problem when it comes to presenting our music on www.movio.se. We play very long sets, stretching well into the hour - a continious flow of tunes, meshed together as a whole. Mostly tunes written by Martin Landahl but interspersed are music copyrighted by other people. To get the whole picture - hear us live! These samples are straight from the decks - no post-recording processing whatsoever...
